BEFORE You Start Looking For Your New Home:

  • Check your credit rating with all three (3) credit reporting agencies.  Straighten out any errors before applying for a real estate loan.  Need help in restoring your credit?  We can refer you to a Credit Restoration company.
  • Determine a comfortable monthly budget for your new purchase, including down payment, monthly payment and utilities.
  • Find a loan program that meets your needs; such as Conventional, FHA, or VA.
  • Get pre-qualified AND pre-approved.
  • Choose a REALTOR® that you trust and who understands your needs.
  • Determine what neighborhood best matches the needs of you and your family.
  • Identify and share with your agent the important features your new home should have.

Closing Costs to Expect:

  • Lender fees include charges for loan processing, underwriting, preparation and establishing an escrow account.
  • Third-party fees include charges for insurance, title search, and home inspections such as termites.
  • Government fees include deed recording and state & local mortgage taxes.
  • Escrow and interest fees include homeowner's insurance, loan interest, real estate taxes, and occasionally private mortgage insurance.
